Sparkport Group of Companies proudly celebrates 29 years of existence within the Province of the Kwa Zulu-Natal. Over the past 2 decades, Sparkport has established itself as a household name and a recognized innovator in the healthcare sector.

In December 1983 two lecturing colleagues, Goolam Mahomed and Solly Suleman, decided to leave the education field and brave commerce and industry to open the very first Sparkport Pharmacy. The premises were merely a 100 square meter shop in Sparks Road. To many, it would seem as though this would be one of many existing insignificant pharmacies around Durban.

However through sheer dedication and commitment by these two visionaries, the group has grown to its immense success that it is today. Our pharmacies are managed by qualified in-house pharmacists and the franchise pharmacies are owned and managed by Pharmacists. This ensures that you receive complete quality health care.

The Group essentially is committed to providing a “one-stop health shop” which offers the public access to script dispensing, retail health and lifestyle items, beauty salons, primary care clinics and print-shops incorporating the Foto-first concept.
